Paulina Karczmarek has been a member of the Araucaria Project since 2012, and now she became a PhD and started to work for Araucaria as a post-doc fellow in Universidad de Concepción, Chile. She explores how binarity among standard candles, like Cepheids and RR Lyrae stars, affects distance determinations.
