New Master’s Student at CAMK Warsaw, Poland
Patryk Matera is in the final year of his Master’s degree in Astronomy at the University of Warsaw, where he also earned his Bachelor’s degree. For his undergraduate research, he collaborated with NCBJ to constrain a dust attenuation proxy for the LSST sky survey.
As part of the Araucaria Project at CAMK, he is expanding his knowledge of stellar photometry and the analysis of photometric data. His research involves studying short-period variable stars in the NGC 6822 galaxy and using these stars to refine distance measurements.
